Cape Perpetua Trails

9 trails and a 6-mile (9.7k) bike trail

Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is located 3 miles south of Yachats and provides maps of the trails. There is a day use $5.00 fee to park in any of the parking areas. 5-day passes for $10.00 are available. See descriptions below of each trail.

Captain Cook Trail

Description: Goes from the Visitor Center to Cook’s Chasm with tide pools, Indian shell middens, and an old CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) camp on the way.

Whispering Spruce Trail

Description: Take the Auto Tour Road to Viewpoint Road to the parking lot. The walk loops from the parking lot to the West Shelter and into the woods. (Paved)

Trail of Restless Waters

Description: Starts in Devil’s Churn parking lot and joins the Cape Cove Trail.

Cummins Creek Loop

Description: Loops from the Visitor Center to Cook’s Ridge Trail to Cummin’s Creek Trail, down to the Oregon Coast Trail and back to the Visitor Center.
